(Note:  Weekend Academy is not a United Way agency at this time.) Become a local chapter “theme sponsor,” in-kind donor, or volunteer. Partner with your church, civic, or social organization to sponsor a Book of the Month, a meal, or special project or field trip for a local chapter.  Come spend a couple of hours 1 Saturday morning sharing your skills with young people.  The Academy students explore a different topic every month, so there is always something new in the works.  Contact a local coordinator to find out what current needs are.   Got an in-service project or class assignment?
